Standing up to anti-social behaviour

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council has joined a national campaign to help tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB). The initiative aims to help people stand up to ASB, offering educational support which will help residents to correctly identify the problem, raise a report and access care.

BCP Council is asking people for their views on the potential introduction of three Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) in our coastal areas, some of our open spaces, highways and car parks. This follows concerns raised by local communities and visitors during the summer months, when a number of negative behaviours by some individuals impacted on the enjoyment of our beaches and open spaces and had a detrimental effect on the environment.

Voters in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area will need to show an accepted form of photographic identification at this year’s local elections.

As part of the Nature Recovery project which aims to connect people with nature, The Parks Foundation is asking local residents to share their thoughts on draft plans for seven parks across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
