Standing up to anti-social behaviour
Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council has joined a national campaign to help tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB). The initiative aims to help people stand up to ASB, offering educational support which will help residents to correctly identify the problem, raise a report and access care.
Consultation on Public Spaces Protection Order Launched
BCP Council is asking people for their views on the potential introduction of three Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) in our coastal areas, some of our open spaces, highways and car parks. New Sustainable Travel Route Work Starts in May
Work is set to begin in May on the construction of new sustainable travel facilities along Wimborne Road in Poole between Denmark Lane and the New Inn junction. The project will take place in two phases and will see the area benefit from new cycle, walking and bus infrastructure improvements.
It is the first section to be built of the 7km green travel route linking Poole town centre with Merley, Poole and will link key employment, retail and education facilities including Poole High School, Longfleet Primary School and Oakdale Junior School, Canford Heath Junior School, Poole Hospital, Barclays House and Nuffield Industrial Estate.
£3.1million investment in a Cleaner, Greener and Safer Community
The council will invest £3.1 million into enhanced street cleaning, additional CCTV, Community Support Officers, and pothole repairs this year as part of its Cleaner, Greener, Safer initiative.

Gigabit fibre currently being laid

Two brand new cycle lanes are nearing completion on Whitelegg Way as part of the Transforming Cities Fund sustainable travel programme. Now work is set to start on a new controlled crossing, walking and cycle paths and a raised table crossing close to Redhill roundabout.
Poole Park Railway is Back on Track
The council has confirmed that following a successful tender process, Track Systems based in Shropshire have been awarded the contract to construct a new railway track and engine shed at Poole Park Railway.
